Plastmeccanica has distinguished itself from others by offering clients best service and producing crafts made of plastics that exactly meeting the requirements.
Over the years we have gained particular experience in casting of:
• transparent material, such as polycarbonate, also used in the food and medical sectors
• various types of techno-polymer with extensive mechanical characteristics
• specifics in double-casting, using two colours or two types of material
The casting department comprises 22 injection-presses, with a compression of between 70 to 1200 tons, which, for the purpose of workflow-optimization, are partly run by robots. These are latest-generation presses, with the capability of producing articles of a weight between 0.5 and 11.800 grams. Two of the presses are equipped with double-injection for the purpose of co-casting.
To complete our range, internally we also accomplish pad-printing, hot-printing, inserting and assembling, offered as partial or full-service.
After long years of experience in the underwater-field, creating housings for photo- and video-cameras, made of polycarbonate of a well-known brand that is owned by the company, Plastmeccanica has decided to turn to producing leak-proof suitcases, branded HPRC. Today the line counts more 20 models of various dimensions, positioned in direct competition with their market-leaders. The HPRC suitcases are produced internally, production ranges from construction of the cast, to manufacturing, to mounting and finally to packaging, each phase being under strict quality-control.
Rossano Lugli’s passion for the sea and his desire to offer new underwater equipment for recording on photo and video have motivated him, as the owner of the company, to create a new line of housings and accessories with a wide range of useful novelties, with the objective to further simplify the underwater-life for anyone passionate about it.
