The company Plastmeccanica was founded 1967 and today resides on an area of 6.500 sqm. Objective of the company has always been to design and manufacture casts, as well as crafted products made of thermoplastic resin. For the sake of creating a constantly growing customer fidelity, the company was certified with the UNI EN ISO 9001:2000standard for the casts produced with thermoplastic resin, in the year 2000..

To a large extent our experiences reaches into the field of material sciences that use crafts made of plastic and we can certainly offer strong support with our solutions, ideally tailored to the customer needs, as we also take full responsibility for the projects.
The manufacturing of our casts is done internally, carried out by professionals of long-lasting and approved experience, using modern machinery.

Another task of this department is to guarantee constant maintenance of the equipment used for production, including an emergency support, so if necessary also extraordinary modifications or maintenance of casts can be carried out immediately.

The casting department comprises of 22 injection-presses, with a compression of between 70 to 1200 tons, which, for the purpose of workflow-optimization, are partly run by robots. These are latest-generation presses, with the capability of producing articles of a weight between 0.5 and 12.000 grams. Two of the presses are equipped with double-injection for the purpose of co-casting.

Over the years we have gained a broad experience in casting transparent material, such as polycarbonate, also used in the food and medical sectors, various types of techno-polymer with extensive mechanical characteristics, often of specific doubled material or specific colour.

To complete our range, internally we also accomplish pad-printing, hot-printing, inserting and assembling, offered as partial or full-service.
